(These are in no particular order of priority)

Absolutely massive tip! If someone takes the time to leave you a comment or a review or ask a question answer them, showing good client interaction is massive in social media. Reply to your messages even if you can't help on this occasion.
Don't expect people to show up as clients if you can't show up for them.

No one wants to read constant sales posts, spread these out - maybe once a week. Use your content to educate your followers, relate to them and show them your products - its proven that when a client relates to you and the "like" you they are more likely to convert.

Stories are a great way of relating to your followers - they are behind the scenes looks, a sneaky peak of whats going on or "a day in the life of"some of your posts may get lost in the algorithms BUT there is an extra chance of engagement with stories.
Make sure these stay relevant to your brand.

Follow relevant accounts is a good place to start, follow your suppliers, customers, fellow accounts in your trades - if you want to follow your celebrity crushes or your favourite programme, do it from your personal page not your business page.
Keep your page strictly profesional.

Make sure your bio on all your pages is current up to date and not full of unnecessary information, this is a huge way of being found on social media. Get your keywords in here and don't use lots of emojis / different style text it can mess with the algorithm.

Don't be afraid to share these, do you have happy clients? then shout it from the rooftops.
People love to know what other people think when they are choosing a business to use.
Be proud of the business you have created.

Join your local Facebook pages, bare in mind some don't allow business advertising or some let you post a certain day / once a month etc - write these down to remember when to post and use the free pages to your advantage but remember to respect their rules.

This one is absolutely paramount, there is no time to "wing it" when you are posting your social media, sit down treat it like a task and get planning your content.
Scheduling is a massive help with this as you can see the weeks ahead, keep your consistency (if something else crops up) and share a variety of your content.
